Netflix has released the official teaser trailer and teaser poster for 'My Name Is Loh Kiwan', a fierce and rugged story of a North Korean defector struggling to survive in a cold and ruthless world.
In the teaser trailer, Song Joong Ki takes on the role of a young North Korean defector, Loh Kiwan, who sacrificed everything in order to flee his home. Arriving in the foreign country of Belgium with one last sliver of hope, Loh Kiwan endures the frigid winter, poverty, and starvation as he attempts to earn the classification of "refugee" and the right to live.
However, claiming that there is no way to "prove" that he has successfully escaped from North Korea, the Belgian court denies Loh Kiwan the classification of "refugee". Collapsing in despair, Loh Kiwan meets a young woman named Mari (played by Choi Sung Eun), and their lives become entangled.
'My Name Is Loh Kiwan' is set for release worldwide via Netflix on March 1. Will you be watching?
I would be interested to see finally role that does not rely on his heartthrob image and his face. This seems like it. I’ll be watching as I am not so convinced in his acting skills. May be this change my mind. Looks promising.
