Yang Hyun Suk has given BABYMONSTER fans massive updates on their upcoming activities.
In a recent interview video, the head of YG Entertainment has unveiled a thrilling 'next phase' announcement, shedding light on the upcoming endeavors of their latest rookie girl group, BABYMONSTER.
According to Yang Hyun Suk himself, BABYMONSTER will drop their new song, "Stuck in the Middle," on February 1.
Yang Hyun Suk described the song as 'unlike anything YG Entertainment has ever produced before.' He likened the listening experience to a cosmic journey, evoking the sensation of floating through the galaxy, a sonic voyage best enjoyed with closed eyes.
Regarding his deep involvement in every aspect of BABYMONSTER's production, including the choreography, MV, and fashion styling, Yang Hyun Suk shared his unique perspective. He says, unlike previous ventures with iconic groups like 2NE1 and BLACKPINK, BABYMONSTER boasts a lineup of predominantly underage members. Yang Hyun Suk emphasized the young age of Chiquita, just 14 years old in the US, and made a parallel to his own 13-year-old daughter.
His words resonated with a heartfelt sentiment as he confessed, "The most profound transformation within me is my desire to care for every intricate detail [of BABYMONSTER's journey], akin to the love a father feels for his daughters."
Addressing the temporary hiatus of member Ahyeon, Yang Hyun Suk revealed that the timeline for her return remains "uncertain," as she has begun to take a break to focus on her health. He assured fans that future announcements would shed more light on this matter.
Following the release of their highly-anticipated new single in February, fans can anticipate another delightful surprise, as BABYMONSTER is likely to make a triumphant return with a mini-album in April, as revealed during the interview.
