On August 18, TWICE's Jihyo shared a glimpse into her single-living life as a guest on MBC's 'I Live Alone'!
On this day, Jihyo introduced herself to viewers by stating, "I have lived by myself for a little over 2 years now. I lived in a dorm for 6-years, but felt that I should start living on my own for the experience, so I chose to move out after a lot of thought."
Jihyo then shared her neat home, full of white and wood tones, as well as glimpses of how she likes to spend a day off. In particular, the TWICE member surprised the cast members of 'I Live Alone' by revealing her "impatient" personality, finishing every task as quickly as possible.
After a hardcore Pilates session in the morning, Jihyo visited a restaurant and ordered sujebi, bossam, and a bottle of beer. When asked why she ordered so much food, Jihyo answered, "I've had to diet ever since my trainee days, so I don't want to eat small portions any more. Even if I can't eat it all, I want to order a lot and try a bite of everything."
Back home, Jihyo quickly showered and took care of several chores at once, wasting no time. While taking a break from the housework, Jihyo went and pulled out a bottle of soju, enjoying the drink straight. Here, Jihyo was asked, "Do you like drinking in daylight?". She replied, "I didn't used to drink. But my parents got me in the habit of it. Whenever I go home, they start by saying, 'Now that you're here, let's have a drink'. And then a little later, they'll say, 'It's dinnertime. Let's get started'. The next morning, they'll say, 'It's morning, let's have a drink'. But they tell me that I should only drink at home, not when I'm out."
She then added on, "I don't like to eat munchies with my alcohol, because the different tastes mix together. If you drink it straight, you will get drunk faster. You drink to get drunk, after all."

I love Jihyo and I Live Alone, but glorifying solitary drinking and day drinking is just awful; both of those can be signs of alcohol abuse. Considering how many people have suffered and continue to suffer from alcoholism in South Korea and around the world, I really wish they wouldn't paint this in such a positive light. I also hope this type of drinking is an uncommon occurrence for Jihyo because the alternative is pretty concerning.
