BTS's RM talked about being hit with reality after he sought after luxury brand items in the past on YouTube series 'Psick Show'.
On December 14 KST, YouTube channel 'Psick Univ' uploaded a new video titled, "Asking RM of BTS on Income tax". Here, BTS's RM featured as a special guest and surprised many by stating that he is a fan of the 'Psick Show' series. Revealing that he was the one who first contacted the show to make a guest appearance, RM stated, "This is my only YouTube appearance during my album promotion." YouTuber Lee Yong Joo then addressed RM and said, "I heard you enjoy a simple lifestyle." To this, RM replied. "I do like [a simple lifestyle]." Lee Yong Joon then stated, "You're completely the opposite from Min Soo. [Min Soo] likes luxury brand items and goes to the department store everyday." To this, Min Soo stated, "This happens when you make [a lot of] money so suddenly."
Hearing this, RM stated, "I used to be like that too. It feels like I'm looking at my past self. I really liked [the department stores] Galleria [Department Store] and Boon The Shop. But reality will eventually hit you. This is because the trend changes way too quickly. It's way too fast. The colors are all different and even the fit is so different." He then added, "But if you [Min Soo] get stressed, it's nice to go once in a while."

I love that he mostly shifted from buying lots of fancy clothes (understandable when you're young, rich, and everyone around you is pressuring you to be stylish) to buying a lot of art. Everyone is on their own personal journey of what success means, and his choices say a lot about the person he's becoming.
