On the October 7 broadcast of JTBC's 'Hidden Singer', Jessi appeared as the artist of the day to compete against five of her best impersonators!
On this day, Jessi captured the hearts of the program's panelists and audience members with her signature, high energy. In the first round, Jessi and her impersonators sang Jessi's "What Type of X". Jessi was completely shocked by the impersonating skills of her fellow contestants, and 26 people ultimately voted for Jessi as the "singer who sang the least like Jessi".
Earning the second highest amount of votes that could result in her elimination in the first round, Jessi went backstage with fresh determination. The second round song was "Ssenunni", a round that totally bewildered the panelists and audiences. Listen to the round below:
Next, Jessi and her impersonators sang "Life Is Good" in round three. In this round, Jessi narrowly missed elimination by only 3 votes!
Finally, Jessi moved on to the fourth round alongside two other finalist, where they sang "NUNU NANA"!
Ultimately, Jessi claimed victory with a total of 61 votes, proving that she was the one and only Jessi. However, the impersonator Jo Ha Yool also received praise from the audience and Jessi herself, and took away 3.3 million KRW thanks to her 33 votes!
During her closing remarks, Jessi stated, "I had so much fun, and I am so thankful for this experience. Today made me want to make better music, it made me want to become a better musician and a better, happier person."
