On October 12 KST, JTBC's upcoming drama 'Idol: The Coup' released its 1st teaser ahead of its November premiere.
The teaser video begins with an impactful opening scene, showing the 'failed K-Pop idol group' Cotton Candy. Its members Je Na (played by EXID's Hani), Hyun Ji (played by LABOUM's Solbin), Stella (played by Han So Eun), and L (played by Cosmic Girls' Exy) are shown struggling to make it through each day.
Their daily lives are unfolded with the phrase "We dream while alive", drawing attention as the Cotton Candy members are seen overcome with darkness and wounds. The phrase, "Even if it loses on its own, falls down, and changes, it is our dream." This expresses the Cotton Candy members' feelings on how despite being unable to be properly recognized by the public, their hearts cannot give up on their dreams. Many look forward to the many challenges that the Cotton Candy members will face in 'Idol: The Coup'.
JTBC's new drama 'Idol: The Coup' premieres in November.
Can't speak for the other 3 actors, but I wouldn't be surprised if Hani (& the rest of EXID) felt the same way about their dream of becoming a successful girl group like the phrase mentioned said, before that fancam blew them up bigtime.
