To bring hope in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic, a team of K-pop producers has banded together to bring a charity single. Sound Republica, a Seoul-based global music distribution company came in partnership with K-pop production team Mad Soul Child and a charity organization, In Place of War, to release a single called "Against The Wind." They have brought together artists and musicians from all across the world to raise funds and awareness for those who have been hit the hardest during the pandemic.
70 musicians from twelve countries including South Korea, United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, Russia, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Romania, and Qatar to perform and record this charity single. With K-pop producers Mad Soul Child, artists such as Ailee, Kang Min Soo, BM from KARD, Park Kwang Sun, Lisa, Skye Park, Aanysa, Aris, Brianna, Curtis Walsh, JENNA Nation, Jim Wolf, Keiji Kawashima, Layla Khepri, Moran Levi, Nya Crea, Princes to Kings, Ramzi, Ryota Kaizo along with musicians from the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra and musicians from the Catholic Chamber Orchestra have joined this project. Sound Republica released the track simultaneously on YouTube and across more than 200 streaming services worldwide on August 26.
Marty Ro, the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Sound Replica explained that all proceeds from the single will be donated to In Place of War as a COVID19 Emergency fund that will be used to help those in need of help during difficult times.
