On April 16, MAMAMOO member Whee In made a solo guest appearance on KBS2's 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook'!
During this episode, Whee In greeted viewers with the title track "Water Color" from her 1st solo mini album, 'Redd'. She also performed a beautiful rendition of her song "Goodbye" (Prod. by Jungkey), and had a chance to sit down with MC Yoo Hee Yeol to discuss her solo comeback!
Here, MC Yoo Hee Yeol brought up something he'd heard from MAMAMOO listeners. "So they say that sometimes, it's hard to recognize who's singing between you and Hwa Sa?" Whee In nodded and answered, "Yes, there are a lot of people who get confused. Especially if they are not our fans."
She also explained, "We have heard this ever since we were young. What's more is that we've changed up our styles a lot nowadays, so we sound more different now but back in the day, if you had your eyes closed, you couldn't tell if it was me or Hwa Sa singing."
To run a little test on this, Whee In was asked to sing a snippet of Hwa Sa's hit song "Twit"! First, she sang the original song more like Hwa Sa, confusing Yoo Hee Yeol. But then she also tried singing a version in her own style, changing up the mood of the song completely!
