TVING has unveiled the teaser poster and trailer for its upcoming drama 'Way Back Love,' starring Gong Myung and Kim Min Ha. The series promises a mix of romance and fantasy, capturing the emotions of youth and first love.
The newly released poster takes viewers back in time, showing Ram Woo (Gong Myung) and Hee Wan (Kim Min Ha) in their school days. Dressed in uniforms, they exchange name tags, a small but significant gesture that hints at their deep connection. Alongside the image, the phrases "What started as an April Fool’s joke…" and "Our unbelievable story" add an air of mystery.
The teaser trailer offers an even deeper glimpse into their relationship. In one scene, someone calls out to Ram Woo, and Hee Wan turns to look—her expression playful and sincere. Ram Woo, on the other hand, seems a little flustered, while Hee Wan appears to be enjoying the moment wholeheartedly. But four years later, everything changes. Hee Wan looks troubled, her once-bright demeanor replaced with a darker, more solemn presence.
Then comes the biggest twist—Ram Woo, who died four years ago, suddenly appears before Hee Wan. "I came because there's something I need to tell you," he says, setting the stage for a heart-wrenching and unpredictable story.
'Way Back Love' is a youth fantasy romance that follows Hee Wan, who has been drifting through life, only to be confronted by her first love, Ram Woo—now a grim reaper. Based on a novel of the same name, the drama is led by 'Very Ordinary Couple' director Noh Deok as the creative producer, with 'Be Melodramatic' director Kim Hye Young at the helm.
Gong Myung plays Ram Woo, the young man who returns from the afterlife, while Kim Min Ha takes on the role of Hee Wan, his first love. Together, they bring to life a story filled with nostalgia, longing, and the bittersweet beauty of youth.
The first two episodes of 'Way Back Love' will be available on TVING starting April 3.
