Recent claims that martial artist and TV personality Choo Sung Hoon covered the entire funeral cost of late actress Kim Sae Ron have been confirmed to be false.
On March 26th KST, media reports clarified that Choo had no involvement in the financial arrangements of Kim’s funeral. His only connection to the actress was a past appearance on the Channel A variety show ‘Trust Me and Follow Me: City Fisherman – Palau Special’. They reportedly had no private relationship beyond this professional interaction.
The false narrative had gained traction after certain YouTube channels and online communities claimed that Choo had voluntarily supported Kim’s funeral expenses, attributing his actions to paternal affection stemming from his role as a father to daughter Choo Sarang.
One outlet even suggested that Choo’s grief led him to fully fund the ceremony. However, this report has since been debunked.
