Na Young Seok makes surprise appearance on the final episode of ‘The Seasons – Lee Young Ji’s Rainbow’.
On February 18 KST, KBS 2TV’s late-night music talk show ‘The Seasons – Lee Young Ji’s Rainbow’ wrapped up its final recording. In a heartwarming surprise, Na Young Seok PD, Lee Young Ji’s so-called "variety show godfather," made an unexpected appearance to show his support.
As the last episode of the show, the atmosphere at the recording was electric. Na Young Seok PD’s entrance, which no one saw coming, sent excitement through the roof. Known for hit variety shows such as ‘2 Days & 1 Night,’ ‘Grandpas Over Flowers,’ and ‘Earth Arcade,’ Na Young Seok, a former KBS PD, returned to his ‘home turf’ for the first time in 13 years. Recently, he became the first variety show PD to hold a fan meeting, further proving his immense popularity. His chemistry with Lee Young Ji, especially through ‘Earth Arcade’, has been well-loved by fans.
Na Young Seok praised Lee Young Ji’s hosting skills, saying, “There’s no one else who could pull off such a fun, playful, and energetic hosting style for a music program like this.” He commended her passion and efforts throughout the show, expressing admiration for her unique charm as an MC.
However, the real highlight came when Na Young Seok broke his own rule. Despite having agreed with producers not to dance or sing, he gave in to Lee Young Ji and the audience’s relentless requests and performed TWS’s ‘First Meeting Challenge’, a dance he had recently showcased at his fan meeting. The unexpected moment had the crowd in stitches, and Lee Young Ji, moved by the gesture, quipped, “I didn’t cry watching the video message, but watching PD-nim dance just made me tear up.”
The final episode also featured YB, Baek Ye Rin, The Volunteers, and PH-1YB, delivering an unforgettable lineup of performances.
The last episode of ‘The Seasons – Lee Young Ji’s Rainbow’ will air on February 21 (Friday) at 10 PM KST on KBS 2TV.
