Sensitive lawsuit documents related to the late MBC weathercaster Oh Yoanna have recently been leaked online, revealing alarming details about her work attendance and alleged workplace harassment. The leaked materials, including her attendance records and audio recordings, have reignited public interest in the circumstances surrounding her tragic death.

The documents show that between January 2022 and January 2023, Oh Yoanna was late or absent without leave on several occasions. Notably, on January 26, 2022, she was late for 'News Today,' causing fellow caster Lee Hyun Seung to step in at the last minute. On August 20, 2022, she missed a live broadcast, and in several instances, colleagues or staff members had to step in for her. Additionally, she missed multiple radio broadcasts, raising concerns about her commitment to her work.

However, Oh Yoanna’s family argues that her attendance issues were linked to ongoing workplace bullying and harassment that started in March 2022.

According to them, the stress from verbal abuse and character defamation by senior colleagues led her to rely on sleeping pills and alcohol to cope, which contributed to her absences. Her family claims that the majority of her absenteeism occurred in late 2022 and early 2023.

In addition to the attendance records, several audio recordings and chat conversations between Oh Yoanna and her colleagues were leaked. These conversations reveal her mixed emotions—expressing both gratitude and frustration toward her senior colleagues. In some messages, she vented her grievances using harsh language, speaking to her family about the mistreatment she endured.

The situation became even more controversial when it was revealed that these documents were part of a lawsuit filed by her family. The leaked recordings even include case numbers, further exposing sensitive details about the deceased’s personal life. This has sparked discomfort among netizens, many of whom are concerned about the violation of Oh Yoanna’s privacy. Some speculate that Park Ha Myung, a fellow weathercaster, may be involved in the leak due to the similarity between his social media handle and the account that posted the materials.

Oh Yoanna, born in 1996, joined MBC in 2021 and tragically passed away in September 2024. Following her death, her family released a letter revealing that she had been subjected to workplace harassment, leading to widespread public outrage and further investigation.

Her family has named several colleagues, including Lee Hyun Seung and Kim Ga Young, accusing them of bullying her in the workplace. As a result, they have filed a lawsuit seeking damages for the harassment. In response to the controversy, Kim Ga Young was removed from her role as a promotional ambassador for Paju and also left the SBS program 'Shooting Stars.' However, Park Ha Myung, Choi Ah Ri, and Lee Hyun Seung have continued their professional activities without any interruption.
