Actor Choi Bool Am shared a heartfelt message with viewers as he welcomed the New Year. His remarks were delivered ahead of the January 2nd broadcast of KBS 1TV's New Year special 'Korean Cuisine and Dining', which takes viewers on a culinary journey through the Jinang Plateau in Jeollabuk-do, known as 'Honam's Representative,' and Seocheon, Chungcheongnam-do, famous for its seasonal seaweed.
This episode spotlights the simple yet eco-friendly life of a family with seven children in Jinang, who nurture their kids with nature’s flavors rather than fast food from the city. The family’s winter dining table features delights like crispy shepherd's purse tempura and grilled deodeok on a hot plate, made with ingredients freshly gathered from the snow-covered fields. These dishes embody the parents’ earnest wish for their children to grow up healthy, leaving viewers with a warm smile.
Choi Bool Am, who returned to narrate the show after a three-month hiatus, reflected on the experience, saying, "Recording this episode while watching the footage left me deeply emotional."
He also expressed gratitude to the loyal viewers of the program, adding, "I sincerely thank everyone who continues to love Korean Table. In the New Year, I hope for a nation where everyone can live comfortably, supporting and caring for one another." The special airs at 7:40 PM on January 2nd.
