On January 10 KST, JTBC's music production and management label UNCORE released an official statement to confirm that the members of the project group Close Your Eyes, born from the survival program 'Project 7', are banned from any outside activities.
According to UNCORE, "All participants of 'Project 7' and their agencies have been fully aware that, upon signing the participation contract, they would not be allowed to engage in activities outside the project group without prior approval from UNCORE, in the event that they were selected as final members of the project group."
The label added on, "However, a specific agency has been attempting to organize domestic and international events that go against the terms of the participation contract after it was signed."
UNCORE further issued a warning against a particular home agency of one of the project group members, exposing the agency's intentions to have the idol go back and forth between the activities of Close Your Eyes and with a separate group. The label stated, "The Agency's intentional interference with Close Your Eyes activities constitutes a breach of contract, unfair competition, and illegal actions, and we will take all necessary legal measures."
Meanwhile, JTBC's idol survival program 'Project 7' concluded in December, creating the 7-member project group Close Your Eyes, comprised of Ma Jing Xiang, Sakurada Kenshin, Jeon Min Wook, Seo Kyung Bae, Song Seung Ho, Jang Yeo Joon, and Kim Sung Min.
