SHINee’s Onew expresses desire to return to acting.
On January 8th KST, Onew appeared as a guest on KBS Cool FM’s ‘Lee Eun Ji’s Music Plaza’ to promote his new album ‘CONNECTION.’
During the broadcast, a listener shared a heartwarming story about Onew from the time of the drama ‘Descendants of the Sun.’ The listener, who worked at a hospital and briefly appeared as an extra, recounted how Onew encouraged them by saying, “Just relax and do your best,” and even shared snacks with the cast and crew.
Host Lee Eun Ji responded, “You left such a lasting impression with your kindness. This is a beautiful story!” Onew replied, “It’s heartwarming to hear this feedback. I was actually really nervous back then too, but now I feel grateful that I took the time to say something despite being tired.”
Lee Eun Ji praised Onew’s performance in ‘Descendants of the Sun,’ where he played a key supporting role, and asked if he had plans to act again. Onew affirmed, “Of course. If the opportunity arises, I’d definitely give it a try.” Lee Eun Ji joked that Onew had “Netflix potential,” to which Onew replied with a laugh, “I’d like to take on that challenge at least once.”
