NCT DREAM’s Renjun is once again the subject of controversy.

The idol appeared at Incheon Airport on January 24 along with the rest of NCT DREAM, wearing an fashionable outfit that stood out from the rest of the group’s dark color-coordinated clothes. As fans and media surrounded the group, taking pictures and shouting, Renjun looked a little overwhelmed and walked a bit slower. Surprisingly, this is what has led to a fresh wave of hate comments against Renjun, with netizens sharing the clip of Renjun’s surprised reaction and insulting his appearance in various ways.

Some of the hate comments included:

“This is why you shouldn’t get filler and Botox”

“He used to be so handsome, this is just sad”

“He looks like someone who is sick”

“He should go back to his old face”

“He looks like if Bang Si-hyuk lost a lot of weight”

“He used to be such an attractive guy, now he’s changed so much that it’s just a shame”

Renjun’s fans were quick to defend the idol against hate comments though, joining in to offer their support and encouraging others to report the hate comments:

“Renjun is focusing on taking care of himself and managing his mental health, so stop criticizing him for things like this. He’s worked hard to improve his health”

“It’s just a few bad photos”

“Stop attacking him like this and just focus on your own life”

“The people who wrote these hate comments are really lacking in humanity”

“Just leave him alone. Why are you bullying him like this?”

“I hope Renjun won’t be hurt by these comments and that he’ll be happier and healthier…”

"These people are just jealous, because Renjun is more than they could ever be"

Meanwhile, Renjun returned to normal activities with NCT DREAM only recently, after going on a 6-month hiatus last year due to worsening mental health.
