Singer Lee Chan-won has been selected as the MC for the ‘Trot Festival’.
On the 7th, KBS announced, “Lee Chan-won has been chosen as the MC for the ‘KBS Lunar New Year Special Trot Festival: The Color’ (hereafter referred to as ‘Trot Festival’).”
‘Trot Festival’ will be a grand celebration showcasing the present and future of ‘K-Trot’, featuring Korea’s top trot artists to mark Lunar New Year, the nation’s biggest holiday.
Notably, Lee Chan-won, who demonstrated his exceptional hosting abilities by winning the grand prize at the ‘2024 KBS Entertainment Awards’, will helm the program as the sole MC.
Lee Chan-won first rose to stardom by securing third place in TV Chosun’s ‘Mr. Trot’ in 2020. Since then, he has gained widespread popularity with hits such as ‘Time of Love’, ‘A Very Good Day’, and ‘Sky Travel’. He has also been active as an MC on popular entertainment programs like KBS2’s ‘Immortal Songs’ and ‘New Release Convenience Store Restaurant’.
‘Trot Festival’ will be recorded at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, at 7 PM on the 23rd and will air on KBS2 on the 29th.
