RIIZE to release remake of TVXQ’s iconic debut song ‘Hug’
RIIZE will remake TVXQ’s legendary debut track ‘Hug’, as announced by SM Entertainment. This release is part of SM’s 30th-anniversary celebrations, featuring various projects such as concerts, orchestral performances, and a special commemorative album highlighting the label’s iconic music.
The album will include SM’s hit songs reinterpreted by junior and senior artists in their unique styles, offering a fresh take on tracks that have resonated with fans over the years.
Ahead of the album’s release, RIIZE’s version of ‘Hug’ will drop on January 8th at 6 PM KST via major platforms like Melon, Flo, Genie, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, QQ Music, Kugou Music, and Kuwo Music.
RIIZE’s rendition of ‘Hug’, originally released in 2004 as TVXQ’s debut hit, has been reimagined by producer Park Moonchi, blending Y2K aesthetics with trendy sounds for a newtro vibe. The intro features RIIZE’s smooth acapella harmonies, followed by refreshing vocals that bring a modern twist to the beloved classic.
Additionally, other tracks from the album will premiere at the ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2025’ concert on January 11th and 12th at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome, with global livestreams available on Beyond LIVE and Weverse.
