On the 10th, Major9 announced, "As of December 31 last year, the exclusive contract with our artist Dongjun has ended."

The agency expressed its gratitude, saying, "We sincerely thank Kim Dong Jun for his tireless passion and diverse activities as one of our artists, and we wholeheartedly support his future endeavors."

They added, "We also extend our deepest gratitude to all the fans who have cherished and supported Kim Dong Jun during this time. We kindly ask for your continued love and encouragement as he embarks on a new journey."

Debuting in 2010 with the group ZE:A,Kim Dong Jun has built a notable acting career with appearances in dramas such as 'My Lawyer, Mr. Jo,' 'Still Loving You,' 'Chief of Staff Seasons 1 & 2,' 'Black,' and films like 'A Company Man' and 'Way Station.'

Notably, he successfully completed his first historical drama challenge by playing King Hyun Jong, the monarch who solidified the foundation of the Goryeo Dynasty, in the KBS2 historical drama 'Korea–Khitan War,' which concluded in March last year.

Through this role, Kim Dong Jun won two awards at the '2023 KBS Drama Awards': the Best Actor Award and the Best Couple Award.

In addition, he achieved further recognition by winning the Best Actor Award at the Daejeon OTT Awards held in September last year and the Excellence Award in the Long Drama category at the '2024 SEOULCON APAN Star Awards.'

Kim Dong Jun is set to return to the small screen this year with the highly anticipated 'New Recruit Season 3.'
