'Collapse,' directed by Hyun Hae Ri, is Song Jae Rim's final work.
The film is based on the infamous Terra Luna crypto crash, where 50 trillion KRW (~34 billion USD) vanished, and depicts the lives of young people addicted to quick riches through stocks and cryptocurrency.
In the film, the late Song Jae Rim plays Yang Do Hyun, a cryptocurrency developer who created a crypto coin. His portrayal delivers a completely different vibe from his previous works.
Director Hyun Hae Ri recalled Song Jae Rim's performance and shared, "Since he was portraying a character related to a real-life incident, he approached it with great care. He was truly a professional."
He also praised the late actor, "He meticulously reviewed the latest related articles the night before every shoot. He'd even suggest changes in the script and shared, 'Shall we adjust this part?'"
Meanwhile, Song Jae Rim's posthumous film 'Collapse' will be released on January 15.
