On January 9, Yuqi from (G)I-DLE shared insights about her contract renewal during her appearance on the YouTube channel TT Studio's program 'Introduction to Physiognomy.'

In the episode, Yuqi commented, "If I only cared about making money, I would’ve already left [to China]."

As an idol in her 8th year, Yuqi was asked about her thoughts on contract renewals and her future plans. The fortune-teller observed, "Yuqi seeks stability in relationships and is more likely to choose to expand within a secure environment." To this, Yuqi acknowledged, "That’s why I renewed my contract."

The fortune-teller further noted, "You’re comfortable with familiar people and feel a lot of anxiety when meeting new ones." Surprised, Yuqi responded, "That’s completely accurate."

Host Um Ji Yoon remarked, "When it’s time for contract renewal, I’m sure you received offers from China. The market there is huge, so people might’ve thought you’d move back there." Yuqi replied candidly, "To be honest, if I only wanted to make money, I’d have already left."

Yuqi added, "One of the reasons I renewed my contract is that I wanted to do only what I love." She also shared, "I was actually good at studying, and my parents wanted me to pursue a different career path. We got into a lot of arguments before I came to Korea," she added in reflection, "But I think I made the right choice."

The fortune-teller humorously remarked, "You have the face of a nun," adding, "You have a strong desire for recognition and honor—you could even become a head monk," making everyone laugh.

Regarding her compatibility with leader Soyeon, the fortune-teller observed, "Jeon Soyeon has a strong desire for recognition, and in that aspect, you’re similar." He advised that mutual respect is key to maintaining their strong relationship.
