Former 'Radio Star' MC Yoon Jong Shin is making a long-awaited return to the MBC variety show after five years, where he will reveal his unique method of using AI for songwriting. 

The episode, airing on January 22 at 10:30 PM KST, will be feature guests Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Young Chul, Son Tae Jin, and Choi Sang Yeop from the band LUCY.

Yoon Jong Shin, who was an MC of 'Radio Star' for 12 years and built a prolific career as a lyricist, composer, and singer, left the show unexpectedly in late 2019 to embark on his Nomad Project, traveling overseas. During his return to the studio, Yoon Jong Shin will share updates on his life, including stories from his time in Berlin for the project. He also reflects on understanding fellow MC Kim Gu Ra’s perspective and reveals heartfelt advice he offered to entertainer Jun Hyun Moo after returning to Korea.

Yoon Jong Shin will also share humorous anecdotes, such as when he gave Lee Hyori a song only to hear her react with, "Oppa... what is this?" Despite having found songwriting relatively easy earlier in his career, Yoon Jong Shin admits that after turning 50, he has turned to AI tools like ChatGPT to better connect with the emotions of younger generations. While collaborative composing is common, Yoon Jong Shin explains that writing lyrics with others is challenging, so he uses AI to better understand modern sensibilities through conversation.

The episode will also delve into Yoon Jong Shin’s experience as a judge on audition programs, including 'Superstar K,' where he mentored artists like Kang Seung Yoon, sharing memorable episodes from that time.

As the head of Mystic Story, Yoon Jong Shin’s visit to 'Radio Star' also aims to introduce the agency’s talented musicians. Choi Sang Yeop, the vocalist of LUCY, is humorously described as Mystic Story’s “golden youngest” for his significant contributions to the company.

Additionally, the episode will feature Son Tae Jin, known as the "Crown Prince of Trot," who shares his secret to success and entertains the studio with his unique skills, bringing laughter to everyone.
