The South Korean entertainment industry is reeling from the aftermath of an unprecedented overnight declaration and lifting of martial law by President Yoon Suk Yeol. 

Among the ripple effects, the scheduled airing of tvN’s popular variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' (abbreviated as 'You Quiz') has come under scrutiny.

Initially, the December 4th episode of 'You Quiz' was set to feature BLACKPINK’s Rosé, who recently topped music charts with her hit ‘APT.’ 

However, the airing of her segment now appears uncertain due to the chaos triggered by the sudden martial law declaration and its subsequent cancellation late on December 3rd and early December 4th. 

The entertainment industry has seen some events canceled, and broadcast schedules have been abruptly altered, leaving 'You Quiz' potentially facing postponement. tvN has refrained from confirming the program’s schedule, stating that the final decision will be made after internal discussions.

The turmoil began on the night of December 3rd at 10:23 PM, when President Yoon declared martial law. Less than six hours later, on December 4th at around 4:30 AM, the martial law was rescinded after the National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution to lift it, with all 190 lawmakers present voting in favor.

This sudden sequence of events has plunged South Korea into nationwide confusion. From the political sphere to the economy and popular culture, efforts are underway to mitigate the widespread fallout.
