BTS member Jin showcased his surprising skills related to food.
In the December 3rd KST episode of BTS’s self-produced variety show 'Run Jin', released at 9 PM on their official YouTube channel, Jin visited JDB Entertainment and competed in a high-class food challenge with comedians Hong Yoon Hwa, Kim Min Kyung, and Yoo Min Sang.
Jin bonded with Kim Min Kyung and Yoo Min Sang through arm wrestling, setting a warm and friendly tone before diving into the main game. When he heard that the competition theme was food, he showed concern, joking that he couldn’t possibly beat the famed “eating champions.”
However, Jin heated up the atmosphere by giving his best in challenges like identifying cuts of raw meat, deducing the ingredients inside a kimbap while blindfolded, and estimating the total weight of ingredients by sight alone. His sharp sense for food shone brightly in these high-difficulty games, impressing everyone. During a snack ASMR challenge, he displayed his keen observations, commenting, “It’s hollow inside,” and “It feels like something you’d eat in one bite.”
The chemistry between the four participants was as entertaining as the games themselves. Hong Yoon Hwa and Kim Min Kyung, known to be enthusiastic ARMYs, burst into laughter even at Jin’s casual jokes, moving him with their reactions.
Meanwhile, Jin and Yoo Min Sang delivered comedic gold while playing a hand-pushing game, acting like a perfectly synchronized comedy duo. Jin also shared childhood memories related to food during the games, demonstrating his skills as a capable host.
'Run Jin' is released every Tuesday at 9 PM on BTS’s YouTube channel, with episodes available an hour later on the global fan platform Weverse.
Meanwhile, Jin will appear on NHK’s 'Venue101 Presents JIN SPECIAL' airing on December 7th at 11 PM. In a pre-show interview, he shared, “I’ve prepared this with the hope that everyone who watches will feel happy, so please look forward to it.” This marks Jin’s return to a Japanese stage for the first time in nearly five years since BTS’s fan meeting 'BTS 5TH MUSTER MAGIC SHOP IN JAPAN' in December 2019.
