Top 7 rankings overturned + 21 contestants move on to the final round on JTBC's 'Project 7'

This week on JTBC's boy group audition program 'Project 7', 21 out of the surviving 35 contestants moved on to the final round.

On this day, MC Lee Soo Hyuk revealed that the changed rules to the third round of global voting, which only allowed fans to vote for 3 of their favorite contestants, had majorly affected the ranking outcomes.

First, Lee Soo Hyuk announced the trainees who ranked between #10~#20 from each team, beginning with the "Time After Time" team. From this team, Woo Ha Joon garnered attention for rising to the rank of 10th place after his original rank of 20th place during the second elimination. Meanwhile, Lynnlynn of the "Trigger" team stunned his fellow contestants by climbing up 19 ranks from his previous rank of 35th place, ultimately earning the rank of 16th place this week.

Next, MC Lee Soo Hyuk revealed the three contestants who would be competing for the last spot on the winning team, 7th place, this week - Kim Si Hoon, Nam Ji Woon, and Jang Yeo Joon. Despite climbing down 3 ranks from his previous rank of 4th place, Jang Yeo Joon still managed to secure a spot in the top 7 at 7th place, while Kim Si Hoon came in 8th, and Nam Ji Woon came in 9th place.

Following the dramatic 7th place reveal, the show went on to announce this week's top 7 contestants in order. 6th place went to Song Seung Ho, 5th place went to Ma Jing Xiang, and 4th place went to Kim Seong Min.

The 3rd place results once again dismayed the show's contestants, as the formerly "unwavering" 1st place trainee, Jeon Min Wook, climbed down 2 spots this week, being the only member of the top 6 who did not earn benefits from the latest match.

2nd place then went to Seo Kyung Bae, and for the first time, Sakurada Kenshin secured the rank of 1st place this week.

Finally, MC Lee Soo Hyuk revealed the 4 contestants competing for the very last ticket to the final round, 21st place. The contestants were Fong Atilla, Kang Min Seo, Kim Hyun Woo, and Lee Han Bin. Ultimately, Kim Hyun Woo claimed the honor of having one more chance on stage.

Next week, JTBC's 'Project 7' will air its major finale live on December 27 beginning at 8:50 PM KST, determining the winning 7 contestants who will earn the chance to debut in a new global boy group managed by JTBC's entertainment label UNCORE.
