On December 19 KST, Gallup Korea published its annual survey, "Who was the best performing actor/actress of 2024?", as a part of its 'Top Figures of the Year' series. 

A total of 1,741 South Koreans from all regions (excluding Jeju island), ages 13 and older, participated in the Gallup Korea survey from November 11~25. Participants were asked to give the names of two actors/actresses for their response. 

Once again in 2024, actor Ma Dong Suk topped the list by earning 26.5% of the total votes for his performance in 'The Roundup 4: Punishment'. In 2023, Ma Dong Suk took 1st place for his role in 'The Roundup 3: No Way Out'. The fifth installment of the series, 'The Roundup 5', is set to premiere in 2025. 

Next, Hwang Jung Min of '12.12: The Day', 'Mission: Cross', and 'I, the Executioner' took 2nd place with 14.2% of the votes. 3rd place went to actress Kim Go Eun (12.2%) of 'Exhuma', the only actress in the top 10. Notably, 'Exhuma' drew the largest number of audiences by any Korean film released in 2024 at 11.9 million. 

4th place went to Choi Min Shik (11.7%) of 'Exhuma', 5th place went to Lee Jung Jae (10%) of 'The Acolyte', 6th place went to Lee Byung Hun (8.3%), 7th place went to Song Kang Ho (7.3%) of 'Uncle Samsik', 8th place went to Jung Woo Sung (5.3%) of '12.12: The Day', 9th place went to Yoo Hae Jin (5%) of 'Exhuma', and 10th place went to Son Suk Goo (3.4%) of 'Night Fishing' and 'Troll Factory'.
