Actress Jaekyung, former member of the girl group Rainbow, has tied the knot with her non-celebrity boyfriend.
According to YTN on December 16th, Jaekyung got married earlier this year to her non-celebrity partner. Out of respect for her husband’s privacy, the couple held a small ceremony in Seoul, attended by close family members.
On the same day, her agency Namoo Actors released a statement confirming the news: “Kim Jaekyung has met a precious partner and, based on deep trust and affection, exchanged vows in a private ceremony attended by immediate family last summer.” They added, “In respect of her spouse’s privacy as a non-celebrity, the wedding was held quietly.”
The agency also expressed Kim Jaekyung’s commitment to her career, saying, “As an actress, she will continue to work hard to repay the love and support she has received with great performances and projects. Please join us in congratulating her and offering warm encouragement as she begins a new chapter in her life.”
This makes Jaekyung the third member of Rainbow to get married. Although fellow member Yoonhye was initially reported as the third to wed when she married actor Ahn Jae Min in October, it has now been revealed that Jaekyung had already celebrated her wedding earlier.
Jaekyung debuted in 2009 as the leader of Rainbow, quickly gaining popularity for her stunning visuals and impressive performance skills. Known for her versatility, she showcased her talent in fashion design by altering clothing and creating accessories, earning her recognition as a multi-talented star.
After transitioning into acting, Jaekyung built a diverse filmography with stable performances. She made her acting debut in the drama 'Monster' and went on to appear in 'Bad Papa,' 'The Devil Judge,' 'Again My Life,' 'The Grand Shining Hotel,' and the films 'A Way Station' and 'Flowers of Mold.'
