Actress Go Hyun Jung has notified organizers of her absence from an event due to a sudden decline in her health.
On December 16th, at noon, the production team of Genie TV’s original drama 'Namib' announced
“Go Hyun Jung will not attend the press conference for Genie TV’s original drama 'Namib', scheduled for 2 p.m. today (December 16th, Monday), due to sudden health issues.” The decision was made just two hours before the event.
The production team further explained, “Based on medical advice received this morning, which emphasized the need for absolute rest and recovery, we had no choice but to decide on her absence. We sincerely apologize to the journalists who took time out of their schedules to attend and ask for your understanding.”
'Namib' tells the story of Kang Soo Hyun (played by Go Hyun Jung), a fired star producer, and Yoo Jin Woo (played by Ryeo Un), a long-term trainee who has been let go, as they strive to achieve their respective goals.
The drama is set to premiere on December 23rd at 10 p.m. on ENA, with streaming available for free immediately after the broadcast on KT Genie TV and Genie TV Mobile.
