On December 12, Um Ki Joon's agency, Suntree Entertainment, announced to The Daily Sports, "Um Ki Joon will be holding a wedding ceremony on December 22 in Seoul with a non-celebrity bride."
The wedding will be held privately out of respect for the bride's non-celebrity status.
Earlier in May, Um Ki Joon shared news of his engagement. In a handwritten letter on his social media, he said, "I never imagined I would find someone to spend my life with. However, I’ve met someone warm-hearted and deeply considerate, and we’ve decided to start a new chapter together through marriage."
He also extended his gratitude to his fans, saying, "I will never forget the love and support you have always shown me. I will continue to work harder to repay your love."
Um Ki Joon made his acting debut in 1995 with the play 'Richard III'. Since then, he has built an impressive career with performances in stage productions such as 'The Sorrows of Young Werther', 'Hedwig And The Angry Inch', and 'GwanghawMun Love Song'.
