Actor Ji Soo, who had halted his career in South Korea after becoming embroiled in allegations of school violence, has revealed that he is now actively working in the Philippines.
Recently, Ji Soo shared updates through his social media, posting photos and videos of himself performing at a concert in Bicol, Philippines. Wearing a costume reminiscent of a rock star, Ji Soo captivated the crowd, receiving enthusiastic cheers from a large audience of Filipino fans.
Ji Soo, once a rising star in the Korean entertainment industry, faced serious allegations of school bullying in 2021. Following the controversy, he issued a handwritten apology and terminated his exclusive contract with his agency, effectively putting his acting career on hold.
Since then, Ji Soo has maintained his innocence, claiming that he was wrongly accused. In an interview shared through a YouTube video in August, he stated, “A lot has happened over the past four years. I also completed my military service. There were some negative issues surrounding me, but I was able to resolve the misunderstandings with the people who had initially made the claims.”
Now, Ji Soo appears to be making a fresh start in the Philippines. He has taken on roles in the Filipino drama 'Black Rider' and the film 'Rainbow', marking his re-entry into the entertainment industry through local productions.
In addition, through his YouTube vlog, Ji Soo expressed his desire to expand his career globally, stating, “I want to try acting in an English-language project. If I get the opportunity to act in a global film with English dialogue, I’d love to give it a shot.”
Fans are closely watching Ji Soo’s comeback as he embarks on this new chapter in his career, with many curious to see if his activities in the Philippines will lead to future opportunities in the global film industry.
