Spotify turned up the volume on November 27, hosting a dazzling 'RADAR LIVE' event to celebrate rising K-pop stars BABYMONSTER. The septet, fresh off joining Spotify’s RADAR KOREA roster in October, took center stage in a night filled with music, fan interactions, and the official launch of their first full-length album, 'DRIP.'
As one of Spotify’s flagship programs for spotlighting emerging talent. Since its inception, RADAR has spotlighted over 900 artists worldwide, including the likes of The Kid LAROI, Lauv, Tyla, RIIZE, and LE SSERAFIM. BABYMONSTER, the latest addition to this elite roster, has already seen their Spotify stats skyrocket — a 110% increase in monthly streams and 30% more listeners since joining RADAR. The group’s rapid rise underscores RADAR’s knack for connecting artists with new audiences worldwide.
The event, held both in person for 120 lucky fans and streamed live to 250,000 MONSTIEZ on the K-Pop ON! Spotify YouTube channel, had fans engaged throughout the 2-hour broadcast. Hosted by the ever-charismatic Jaejae, the night kicked off with BABYMONSTER teaching fans the choreography to their title track during the “[DRIP] Challenge,” a moment that had both the audience and livestream viewers dancing along in unison.
But the energy didn’t stop there. The members of BABYMONSTER charmed fans with candid anecdotes during the playful “RADAR Alphabet Talk” and brought out their competitive sides in the “Cassette Fishing” game, where fans snagged exclusive BABYMONSTER-themed cassette tapes. It was an evening designed to blur the lines between artists and fans, creating an atmosphere of pure joy and connection.
Spotify’s Head of Music for South Korea, Jungjoo Park, praised the event as a celebration of Korea’s musical diversity and BABYMONSTER’s incredible talent. “Spotify is committed to showcasing the diversity and talent of Korean artists through initiatives like RADAR, which helps rising talent connect with fans and new listeners worldwide,” Park said. “RADAR LIVE feat. BABYMONSTER bolsters this commitment, and we’re thrilled to support BABYMONSTER in expanding their horizons and creating unforgettable moments with their fans.”
For BABYMONSTER, the feeling was mutual. “We’re so thankful to be part of RADAR Korea,” the group shared during the event. “From sharing our unique colors through bespoke content to connecting with fans at RADAR LIVE, it’s been an amazing journey. We’re excited to keep growing and grateful for Spotify’s support along the way.”
The evening wasn’t just a celebration of BABYMONSTER’s achievements — it was a bold statement of their potential to dominate the global music scene.
