Kep1er has achieved a remarkable milestone, entering the Billboard 200 chart for the first time since their debut nearly three years ago.
According to the latest Billboard rankings, Kep1er’s 6th mini-album ‘TIPI-TAP’ landed at No. 147 on the Billboard 200 chart. Known as one of the most influential music charts in the U.S., the Billboard 200 combines album sales and streaming numbers to determine its rankings. Alongside the Hot 100, it serves as a key indicator of an artist's popularity and success.
This marks a significant accomplishment for Kep1er (Yujin Choi, Xiaoting Shen, Chaehyun Kim, Dayeon Kim, Hikaru Ezaki, Huening Bahiyyih, and Youngeun Seo), who debuted in January 2022. Entering the Billboard 200 after 2 years and 10 months demonstrates the group's growing global influence and potential. Given that the chart reflects both physical album sales and streaming data, the achievement highlights Kep1er’s international appeal and impressive growth trajectory.
The success of ‘TIPI-TAP’ carries additional weight as it is the group’s first album since reconfiguring as a seven-member act, marking a new chapter in their career. With this album, Kep1er declared an upgrade in all aspects of their artistry, signaling a successful new beginning.
This milestone also reflects the fruitful collaboration between Kep1er and their agency, KLAP Entertainment. The synergy between the two has bolstered the group’s reputation not only domestically but also in the global market.
Before this achievement, Kep1er had already made appearances on various Billboard charts, including Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales, and Emerging Artists. They have also dominated iTunes charts in multiple countries. In South Korea, the group secured first place on SBS M’s The Show and won the Best Performance Award at the TikTok Awards Korea 2024. Kep1er’s consistent success continues to draw widespread attention and acclaim.
