Oh My Girl's Arin gained the partial victory of her suit against a mobile game production company and an advertisement company over unpaid commissions.
According to media reports on October 17th KST, the Seoul Central District Civil Court's judge sided with some of the plaintiff's claims in a case filed by Arin's agency, WM Entertainment. The court ordered the mobile game company A and the advertisement production company B to jointly pay all of Arin's modeling commissions (198 million KRW) and damages for delay in payment.
Back in June of last year, A signed an agency contract with B and wired the modeling fee (198 million KRW) and half of the TV commercial production expenses (115.5 million KRW).
Arin, who subsequently signed a contract with both A and B, appeared in the commercial as a model which aired in August last year.
According to the contract, A and B were required to pay the commission within 30 days of the premiere of the commercial, but Arin's agency never received the payment.
During the suit, A argued that "Arin's modeling fee was stipulated to be paid to her agency by B, and we already paid the modeling fee to B."
However, the court found that A was also responsible for the payment of the commission according to the contract.
