Chef Triple Star faces allegations of personal misconduct and scandal.
On October 30 KST, Dispatch reported allegations involving chef Triple Star (real name Kang Seung Won), ranging from alleged two-timing and Michelin employment lobbying to threats and verbal abuse.
The report details that Triple Star met his former partner, known as A, while studying at Le Cordon Bleu in 2014. A claims she allegedly gifted Chanel bags to influential connections to secure a Michelin restaurant position for the then-student. The two later entered a common-law relationship in May 2022 but divorced three months later, amid recurring conflicts. A’s revealed “apology letters” from Triple Star reportedly contain unsettling details.
Additionally, another woman, B, claimed she was “ghosted” by Triple Star, accusing him of two-timing. According to A, she initially confronted Triple Star after discovering his messages with B, but he dismissed the relationship as a brief encounter meant to help him move on.
Moreover, allegations of verbal threats have surfaced, with A disclosing messages from Triple Star allegedly threatening violence post-divorce, particularly after learning of her new relationship.
Triple Star has denied all allegations. Regarding the alleged lobbying with Chanel bags, he argued, “A may have given gifts to her friends, but I earned my position through hard work.” On the two-timing accusations, he stated, “My relationship with B was brief.”
Triple Star currently operates a fine dining establishment in Seoul’s Gangnam district and gained recent popularity on Netflix’s 'Culinary Class War', where he placed third. Despite the allegations, he has yet to release an official statement on the matter.
