NewJeans' Hanni has recently spoken out about an incident where she experienced mistreatment within the shared makeup space at HYBE. According to Hanni, a manager for another HYBE-label artist instructed one of their idols to ignore Hanni, doing so openly in front of her. Feeling wronged by the situation, Hanni reportedly brought the matter to the attention of ADOR’s new CEO, Kim Joo Young.
However, when the issue was raised, Hanni's complaint was allegedly dismissed as the new CEO stated that there was a lack of evidence.
Following this latest accusation, many Korean netizens have gathered in a popular online community to share their thoughts on the matter.
Korean netizens commented:
"She's still a kid... She doesn't need to be that cold."
"The CEO should keep a neutral stance... She does need evidence to raise any issue with the other manager."
"I'm still not really familiar with how companies work, but if you're going to report an internal bullying issue to the CEO, don't you need to gather a bunch of evidence and testimonies for them to take it seriously? I thought that was a given, but now I'm confused if that's not the case."
"The new CEO looks like Bang Si Hyuk."
"Is she Bang Si Hyuk's cousin?"
"That's so mean of her."
"There are so many issues."
"She should be siding with her own artist."
"She's old enough... She should side with the young girl at least."
"Hanni's her artist... she should've sided with her."
"She looks like Bang."
