Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee are set to star in a romantic drama titled 'My Youth' (working title).
The drama follows the story of Sun Woo Hae (played by Song Joong Ki), who begins a normal life later than most, and Sung Jae Yeon (played by Chun Woo Hee), who must disrupt her first love’s peace to achieve her own success. The two characters, who supported each other during the darkest times of their lives, reunite after more than a decade, rekindling their past romance.
Woo Hae is a novelist and florist. He was once a child actor who shone brightly in his time, but due to the greed of adults, he lost his light and was forgotten by the public. As he lives his second life, Jae Yeon, who holds memories of his past, reappears. Jae Yeon is a team leader at Phil Entertainment. Driven by reality, she only focuses on success. Although she grew up in a wealthy family without any worries, her family suddenly fell into ruin, and now she lives a fiercely competitive life. She seeks out Woo Hae to achieve her goals, but as they become entangled, she confronts her once pure self.
The drama will be directed by Lee Sang Yeob, who helmed 'Yumi's Cells' Season 1 and 2 (2021–2022), and written by Park Si Hyun, the writer behind 'Run On' (2020–2021). It is scheduled to air next year.
