Actors Kim Soo Hyun and Jo Bo Ah have been confirmed for the new Disney+ original drama series 'Knock Off', set for release in 2025.
The story centers around Kim Sung Joon (Kim Soo Hyun), a man whose life changes dramatically as a result of the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis (also known as the 'IMF Crisis'). After getting laid off from his job, Kim Sung Joon steps into the world of knock off luxury goods and products. Using his keen wit and adaptability, the man goes on to become a global "knock off king".
Opposite Kim Soo Hyun, Jo Bo Ah will play the role of Song Hye Jung, Kim Sung Joon's ex-girlfriend and a member of the special counterfeit crackdown police force.
'Kock Off' will be directed by Park Hyun Suk of Netflix's 'Song of the Bandits' and scripted by Han Jung Hoon, known for 'Song of the Bandits', 'Bad Guys', and '38 Squad'.
