Amar explained that he usually photographs American celebrities and wasn't initially interested in V and Jennie. However, a tip from a friend, a huge K-pop fan, informed him that they were in Paris. He added that there was no public information about Jennie being in Paris—she was supposed to be in Thailand. After capturing the video, Amar waited three days before uploading it to avoid fans bothering the two celebrities and swarming the area.
To capture the footage, Amar waited 1-2 hours outside a club on the Champs-Élysées until he saw two people leaving hand in hand. After sending a photo to his friend, who confirmed it was noteworthy, he grabbed a bike to follow them. Though he briefly lost sight of them, he found them again near the docks. They passed by him and took a photo at the Eiffel Tower, but when they noticed him, he stopped filming.
Later, security approached him but left after deciding he wasn’t a threat. Amar continued following them to the docks, noticed increased security, and discreetly filmed the video. He recorded for 1 minute and 30 seconds and confirmed their identities with a friend who passed by and recognized them.
In the end, Korean media outlets reached out to him for the video, but Amar declined and posted it on his social media accounts instead.
