On August 2 KST, an arrest warrant against cyber wrecker YouTuber Caracula (legally named Lee Se Wook) was issued by the Suwon District Court.
After conducting a pre-arrest questioning with the suspect, chief attorney Song Baek Hyun noted, "There is reason to believe that the suspect may attempt to destroy evidence or flee," citing the reason for the arrest warrant.
The arrest warrant requested against Choi, the lawyer who represented Tzuyang's deceased ex-boyfriend 'A', was dismissed for reasons such as "There is little reason to believe that the suspect may attempt to destroy evidence" and "there may be disputes over whether or not the suspect committed the crimes he was accused of committing." Choi, who is facing charges of extorting 20 million KRW (~ $14,725 USD) from Tzuyang and leaking private information about Tzuyang to cyber wrecker YouTuber Gu Je Yeok, will continue to face investigation for his charges.
Previously, fellow members of the so-called "cyber wrecker coalition" including Gu Je Yeok and Jeon Guk Jin were arrested on July 26 for working with Caracula to extort money from Tzuyang.
Meanwhile, on August 1 KST, Tzuyang unleashed audio files of her being threatened and assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, 'A', causing shock and anger once again among her followers.
