In a candid conversation, travel YouTube star Pani Bottle shared his thoughts on Korea, his journey of changing perspectives, and the unprecedented rise of K-pop.
In a recent live stream, Pani Bottle shared his thoughts and confessed that he didn't think K-pop would become this popular with staying power. He shared, "Honestly, I thought Korea was a low country. When I was in middle school, I was obsessed with 'One Piece' and really admired Japan. When I was in high school, I got into rock music and admired the United States."

He continued to share, "So when I was young, I was determined to live abroad. But funnily enough, the more I traveled, the more patriotic (of Korea) I became. I didn't expect that. Korea is a country that can become even better."
YouTuber Youngalnam added, "When 'Gangnam Style' came out, I thought K-pop would just be forgotten abot by the next year." Pani Bottle then continued to share, "We didn’t know anything. K-pop has been going strong for over ten years."
The travel YouTuber then shared, "Honestly, I used to look down on Korean singers. But now, I am so, so, so grateful to them for all the benefits we enjoy because of them. Thank you so much, BTS and BLACKPINK. Now, foreigners like our culture. These people achieved what even high-ranking officials couldn’t."
