Lee Joon is set to join the popular variety show '2 Days & 1 Night' as a regular cast member.
According to reports on July 29, Lee Joon recently agreed to become a permanent member of KBS 2TV's '2 Days & 1 Night.' Insiders noted that Lee Joon was a strong candidate for the show due to his wit, eloquence, and distinctive variety show presence, which he has showcased since his time as an idol.
Lee Joon, who has been actively pursuing his acting career, will bring fresh charm to the 'actor line' of the show, following the departure of previous members Yeon Jung Hoon and Na In Woo. Both actors left the program to concentrate on their acting careers, with Yeon Jung Hoon departing after five years and Na In Woo after around two years on the show.
Lee Joon first gained fame as a member of the boy group MBLAQ, debuting in 2009 and achieving significant popularity. He left the group in 2014 to focus on acting and has since appeared in various dramas, including tvN's 'Gab-dong,' MBC's 'Mr. Baek,' SBS's 'Pinocchio' and 'Heard It Through the Grapevine,' KBS 2TV's 'My Father Is Strange,' and SBS's 'The Escape of the Seven.' Most recently, he starred in the SBS drama 'The Return of the Seven,' which concluded in May this year.
