Recently TWS faced criticism after allegations surfaced that their latest track, "Double Take," bears a striking resemblance to GD & TOP's hit song "Knock Out."
Netziens noted the similarities in the music video angles, lyrics, and overall beat as they asked for clarification from TWS' labels Pledis and Hybe.
However, netizens noticed that the articles posted about the news have since been deleted.
When opening the article link from Sports Kyunghang, the page redirects to an error page that reads, “This article has been removed at the request of the person concerned, or is no longer available.”
On the famous Korean Portal site Nate, it reads, "This article has been deleted at the request of the media company."
Netizens were shocked at how fast the article was taken down and wondered how powerful HYBE really was.
- “WOW!”
- “Right? Are news articles that easy to delete? How strong do they have to be to delete media?”
- “Shocked…”
- "Thanks to HYBE, I learned how the entertainment industry spreads and manipulates public opinion."
- “Or they could just release a statement if they are confident.”
- “I guess so…”
- “Wasn’t there a time when HYBE asked a media outlet to release an article for them? Or no?”
- “But HYBE just neglects other idols’ malicious articles alone when they are released.”
Still, BIGBANG fans have urged others not to criticize TWS as they may not even have a say in the matters.
