On the June 28 episode of Daesung's YouTube show 'ZIP Daesung', the Big Bang member reunited with Wonder Girls members Sunye and Yubin for the first time in nearly 15 years.
On this episode, the three 2nd generation idols took a trip down memory lane, laughing about the past. Here, Sunye commented, "Even though we met and worked together so many times back then, none of us were very outgoing, so we never even once tried to get to know one another." Hearing this, Yubin nodded and said, "Everyone thinks that we were friends during those days, but we weren't even close to being friends. We barely ever talked. It's so funny if you think about it now. We were all around the same age, but we never became friends."
While carrying on the conversation, Sunye perked up and said, "I remember what Taeyang oppa said to me one time. Taeyang sunbaenim is also a very introverted person, right? But at that time, he must have mustered up some great courage. He came up to me all awkward, and do you know what the first thing that he ever said to me was? It was, 'You go to church, right?'"
All three burst out laughing, as Sunye continued, "So then I replied, 'Oh, yes I do'. And then he said, 'I'm Christian too'."
Dying from laughter, Daesung mentioned, "Was he trying to flirt?", and Sunye explained, "It wasn't flirting. It was more like, he was really trying to be friendly, like an ice breaker. But the problem was that the conversation ended right there!"
Daesung admitted, "If Taeyang hyung said that, he was really putting in effort in his own way to break the ice."
