Actor Sung Dong Il appeared as a guest on the June 21 installment of Hyeri's 'Hyell's Club' reuniting with his "exchange daughter" from the tvN series 'Reply 1988'.
On this episode, Sung Dong Il revealed that his new action film, 'Hijacking', was premiering in theaters soon (June 21 KST). The actor then spent time reminiscing with Hyeri about the filming set of 'Reply 1988', and the two decided on the spot to call Shin Won Ho PD, the director of the 'Reply' series.
When asked where he was taking his call, Shin Won Ho PD revealed that he was at a wrap-up party for the 'Hospital Playlist' spin-off series, 'Wise Resident Life'. Hearing this, Sung Dong Il commented, "There's a 'resident life' series? What's next after that? 'Non-resident life'? Anyway, please call me up for your next production. Let me be on the set of 'Non-resident life'."
After the brief call with Shin Won Ho PD, Hyeri said, "What if there was another 'Reply' series? What year would it be? I'm really curious." In response, Sung Dong Il calmly remarked, "I have already spoken with Won Ho about this. I'll tell you what year the next one might be once the cameras are off."
While Hyeri brought her hands to her mouth in shock, Sung Dong Il continued, "So many people have been asking me, 'Hyung, aren't you going to do more 'Reply' series'? And then I tell them, 'You see, it's top secret'."
He then added on, "But that's really all there is to it. What we said when we spoke about it was, 'Sure, it should be like... this year... and like this...'," and smiled secretively, showing ambivalence.

Reply 1988 was such a mood. It would be nice to see one in the early 2000's and a college version of it.
