Queenz Eye is a five-member girl group composed of multitalented members Wonchae, Hannah, Narin, Ahyoon, and Damin. They debuted in October of 2022 with the single album 'Queenz Table,' featuring the tracks "Yummy Yummy" and "Before&After." With the group's latest release being "This Is Love."
In May, the quintet wowed the audience at the 'SBTown Music Fiesta' — an event to commemorate the 75-year friendship between South Korea and the Philippines — with their incredible performances, earning them loud cheers.
allkpop caught up with Queenz Eye again after our interview last year to talk about the genres they'd like to experiment with, goals for the group, and more. Read our interview with the group below!
Shout-out from Queenz Eye to allkpop readers:
allkpop: What are you up to these days? Do you have any hobbies or activities you’ve been doing or have been wanting to do lately?
Wonchae: I usually like scuba diving and surfing! Now that it’s summer, I want to enjoy those things as well.
Hannah: I like to watch movies and dramas like K-dramas. I’m mostly watching dramas these days as my hobby.
Damin: Since it's summer, I've fallen in love with making beads again these days. Bead-making seems to be my new favorite hobby again.
Narin: I think I've become more interested in acting these days and I’ve been reading a variety of books.
Ahyoon: These days, because we are currently in the summer season, I’ve been watching a lot of horror movies. I also watch horror movies during our flights!
allkpop: You said in our interview last year that you want to leave a significant mark in the industry. What else are the goals you’ve set for your group?
Ahyoon: Our goal is to visit every country in the world. We want to meet our fans, so we practice and work really hard to make this happen.
Hannah: I feel like it's a really great honor to be able to come to the Philippines because it’s our second country to go to after Japan in March. And we really fell in love with the Philippines!
allkpop: Is there any musical genre that you’d like to experiment with in the future?
Ahyoon: These days, I listen to a lot of musical genres like house and hyperpop. We would like to try some upbeat tracks.
Wonchae: Reggae! If we make reggae K-Pop today and make it popular, I think it would be great to listen to it in the summer.
Hannah: Jazz reggae!
allkpop: What are your rituals or routines before going up on stage to perform?
Ahyoon: We always do our hand sign, the members’ hands on top of each other!
Hannah: Should we show her?
Ahyoon: Today is [our] last [stage], always!
Hannah: Yeah, we always say that!
Queenz Eye: Queenz, a-a-eye!
Hannah: We always say that this is the last stage so we have to burn it!
allkpop: It’s been 2 years since you debuted with ‘Queenz Table.’ Do you have any realizations? What have you learned about yourself throughout the journey?
Narin: After our debut, I clearly found my colors, my strengths, and my weaknesses.
Wonchae: For me, I think the most important thing I took away and gained from our debut before and after is that we now have I-Q, our fans. Love you!
Damin: What I appreciate most since my debut is that I've gotten a little bit more relaxed on stage. I also learned how to quickly respond to things that may happen on stage.
allkpop: What’s a song on your playlist that you’ve been playing repeatedly these days?
Ahyoon: We heard a lot of BINI’s songs. We were also able to show our cover of their “Salamin Salamin” at the SBTown Music Fiesta stage.
allkpop: Have you met them already?
Damin: Not yet but we would like to!
Wonchae: Summer playlist! Red Velvet’s “Power Up”!
Narin: I listen to PinkPantheress songs!
Hannah: It’s an old song… It was released like 15 years ago, it’s Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry.” (laughs) I love that song!
allkpop: If you could leave a message for yourselves and come back to it maybe a year or two later, what would that message be?
Wonchae: How are you doin’?
(members laugh)
Ahyoon: How are you doing, girls?
Queenz Eye: Always take care, eat well, and perform well!
Wonchae: You're holding a concert and meeting more global fans, right? Be happy and work hard.
Hannah: I want to say to her, “Don’t lose yourself!” Always do what you want to do. And I hope she stays happy.
allkpop: What kind of a group do you want the public to see you as in the long term? What do you want to be remembered for?
Wonchae: I hope everyone remembers us as Queenz Eye who is always full of good energy and confidence and proud of our music.
Ahyoon: All five of us have strong vocal and dancing skills, so I hope our fans around the world can expect more from us, including more of our impressive performances. Please look forward to it!
Hannah: I have been a fan of a lot of K-Pop artists and singers in general. I think they are a great memory for me, like if I listen to their song, I remember myself when I was 16 or 17 years old. I hope Queenz Eye can be a memorable group, too, like when I hear that song of ours, I remember the year 2023 or 2024 for Queenz Eye. I hope Queenz Eye can become a group like that: a memorable group.

There is no reason why Queenz Eye should be hoping. They are really talented and their music is good to listen to with some more originality than many K-Pop bands.
More of a soul-full vibe.
Funky beats. They require more promotion. Get on it.
Great video. It's one of the more original sounds.
