An SM Entertainment employee is alleging HYBE attempted to recruit practically every SME employee.
Past reports of HYBE allegedly attempting to recruit SM Entertainment employees have become a hot topic on online community board Instiz. According to one cited report, a core member of SM Entertainment's team previously told media outlets, "It's not new that HYBE has been paying attention to SM's culture technology. Among the long-time practitioners here, there's not a single member who wasn't head-hunted by HYBE."
The core member continued, "There's not one person who hasn't received an offer. This was especially true when it came to new talent development and producing personnel."
Netizens commented, "They'll never leave SM alone," "Why is HYBE so obsessed with SM," "NCT's manager moved there. They have so many former SM staff," "Isn't it obvious SM employees will be poached from everywhere? They're working in the top entertainment company. Of course, they'll be poached," "If you're starting a company, you'd want experienced people," and more.
In related news, HYBE acquired all of SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo Man's shares of the label earlier this year. ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin also recently revealed messages suggesting HYBE founder Bang Si Hyuk's rivalry with SM Entertainment.
