Actor Kang Ki Young has been struck by a devastating loss—the passing of his older brother. The news broke exclusively through Hankook Ilbo on May 15, revealing that Kang Ki Young's elder sibling had tragically passed away at the age of 44.

Kang Ki Young is reportedly deeply grieving after a sudden loss. He is currently finding comfort with his wife and parents as they grieve together.

Many of his entertainment industry colleagues, such as Ju Jong Hyeok, Jo Woo Jin, Kim Young Kwang, and Hwang Bo Ra, have sent funeral wreaths to express their condolences.

A space for friends, family, and fans to pay their respects is available at the Ajou University Hospital Funeral Hall. The funeral will be held on May 17 at 9 AM, followed by the burial at Seoul Memorial Park.

Kang Ki Young has received recognition as he graced the screen with his talent, featuring in notable dramas such as 'Oh My Ghost,' 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim,' 'The Fiery Priest,' and 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo.'

Most recently, he has taken on the challenge of his first leading role in the JTBC drama 'Queen of Divorce.'
