'Lovely Runner' actor Byun Woo Seok opens up about facing rejection in over 100 auditions

On April 16 KST, a video featuring Byun Woo Seok was shared on Hong Suk Chun's Youtube channel ‘Hong Suk Chun's Jewelry Box’.

Hong Suk Chun reminisced, "Since Woo Seok's days as a model, I noticed his actor-like face and encouraged him to pursue acting. I kept urging him to learn acting, never knowing when the opportunity would arise." Byeon Woo Seok confirmed and shared, “Every time I met you, you advised me to pursue acting.”

Reflecting on his debut in tvN's 'Dear My Friends', alongside seasoned actors like Kim Young Ok and Na Moon Hee, Byeon Woo Seok confessed, "I hardly recall much from the experience. The moment felt so surreal that I couldn't even grasp my emotions." He expressed gratitude towards veteran actress Youn Yeo Jung for her guidance and affection.

Despite his eventual success, Byun Woo Seok's journey was marked by numerous setbacks. He candidly admitted, "I faced rejection in auditions over a hundred times. It felt like I failed almost every attempt, to the point where I questioned if I could endure such repeated failure. Yet, I persisted and poured my utmost effort into every opportunity."

Currently, Byun Woo Seok captivates audiences in the role of Ryu Seon Jae in tvN's 'Lovely Runner'.
