tvN's drama 'Marry My Husband' has once again clinched the top spot in the Good Data TV-OTT integrated drama topicality survey for the seventh consecutive week. Despite a slight 23.7% decrease in topicality score, the drama managed to maintain its lead position. Additionally, lead actress Park Min Young has also dominated the most popular performer category for seven consecutive weeks.
With this achievement, 'Marry My Husband' now shares the spotlight with other chart-toppers such as 'Twenty-Five, Twenty-One' and 'Crash Course in Romance', which also held the top position for seven consecutive weeks. All eyes are now on whether 'Marry My Husband' will match the record of 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo', which held the first position for eight consecutive weeks.
In the TV-OTT topical drama category, Netflix's 'A Killer Paradox' secured the second position, experiencing a notable 28.0% increase compared to the previous week. MBC's 'Knight Flower', which recently concluded its run, claimed the third spot, setting its own record. Following closely behind were tvN's 'Captivating the King' and JTBC's 'Doctor Slump' in the fourth and fifth positions respectively.
Park Min Young maintained her dominance in the drama performers' topical category, with Lee Yi Kyung, Song Ha Yoon (from 'Marry My Husband'), Jo Jung Suk (from 'Captivating the King'), and Honey Lee (from 'Knight Flower') rounding out the top five.
The survey conducted by FUNdex, the official platform of Good Data Corporation, covered TV dramas and OTT dramas aired or released from February 5 to February 11, 2023. It encompassed original dramas and performers featured in each program, providing insights into the current landscape of K-content competitiveness.
I love this drama and I can’t wait to see the series final today. I do not agree with people who pretend that only the 2 vilains made the show’s popularity. It's mean to say that and it’s simply not true. PMY did a great job, so did the rest of the cast. There was lots of talent in this production and I’m glad the public showed support over all those 16 episodes.
