TWS continues to gain attention as one of the rising rookie boy groups and are being labeled as "Monster Rookies."
Not only did they recently break IU's PAK streak for her hit track "Love Wins All' by placing #1 on one of Korea's popular music streaming platforms, Bugs Music, but they also briefly reached #1 on Melon's HOT 100 chart (5 minute update interval) on February 14.
As South Korea's foremost music streaming service, Melon Music serves as a significant barometer for gauging a song's success. Securing a prominent placement on the Melon HOT 100 chart and going toe-to-toe with IU is noteworthy, particularly for an emerging rookie group.
TWS officially made their debut on January 22 with their mini-album 'Sparkling Blue.'
Korean netizens commented, "Wow," "They really beat IU," "This is amazing," "They're really monster rookies," "Wow, how did they beat IU?" "This is going too according to plan," "They beat IU? For real?" "They reached #1 so quickly," "How dare they beat IU? lol," and "Is this real? They really beat IU? Then they must be monster rookies."
I don't think there has been boy group to chart this high with their debut song since WANNA ONE which was almost 10 years ago.
